The Ljubljana Basin (Slovene: Ljubljanska kotlina) is a basin in the upper river basin of Sava. It is the most populated area in Slovenia and it is metropolitan area of Ljubljana. Its main rivers are the Sava, the Kamniška Bistrica and the Ljubljanica.
