Chiusaforte (Slovene: Kluže) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 90 km northwest of Trieste and about 40 km north of Udine, on the border with Slovenia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 792 and an area of 100.6 km².1
The municipality of Chiusaforte contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Saletto and Sella Nevea.
Chiusaforte borders the following municipalities: Dogna, Malborghetto Valbruna, Moggio Udinese, Bovec (Slovenia), Resia, Resiutta, Tarvisio.
